About this Simulation

This interactive simulation gamifies the learning of similes and metaphors by inviting students to "shoot" dragons representing each figurative device. Learners explore the key differences between similes (comparisons using "like" or "as") and metaphors (direct comparisons without connectors) through engaging, interactive challenges that reinforce recognition and application of these essential literary devices.

Learning objectives: Distinguish between similes and metaphors in context | Identify and classify figurative language in written passages | Apply understanding of literary devices through interactive problem-solving
