About this Simulation

This interactive simulation models a falling basketball and visualises the conversion between gravitational potential energy and kinetic energy. Learners can observe real-time energy transformations, track the ball's motion across different heights, and verify the principle of conservation of mechanical energy through dynamic graphs and calculations.

Learning objectives: Understand how gravitational potential energy converts to kinetic energy as an object falls | Apply the conservation of energy principle to predict and explain ball motion | Analyse the relationship between height, velocity, and total mechanical energy
